Google Play Review Scraper for CSV Export

This Google Play review scraper loads public app review pages, scrolls through the available review cards, expands long comments, and exports app metadata plus review details into a structured CSV. Import the workflow into the UScraper local desktop app, edit the app URLs, and collect reviewer names, ratings, dates, helpful votes, comments, and app versions without building a crawler.

At a glance

Export Google Play reviews to CSV

The workflow starts from Google Play app detail or review URLs, waits for the page to render, starts an asynchronous review loader, and gives Google Play time to append more review cards through infinite scrolling. After review rows appear, Structured Export writes one row per card with the app name, developer, page URL, reviewer, review date, star rating, helpful vote count, comment text, app version, and review ID when available.

Use this template when you already have an approved list of Google Play apps and need a repeatable Google Play reviews CSV for analysis. For app-level metadata without review text, pair it with the Google Play app detail scraper. For marketplace discovery, use the Apple App Store Search Scraper or browse the UScraper template library.

Review context in every row

Keep app name, developer, source URL, rating, review date, comment text, and app version together so exports are easy to filter and audit.

Built for app batches

Edit navigate.urls to process multiple approved Google Play apps under the same CSV schema.

Infinite review loading handled

The template opens the review view, scrolls the active review container, expands longer comments, and waits before export.

Local desktop execution

Your app list and CSV remain in the desktop workflow unless you add your own upload, sync, or sharing step.

Automation flow

How the Google Play reviews scraper works

The Navigate block opens URLs such as https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=...&hl=en&showAllReviews=true. Replace the sample app URL with your approved Google Play app detail or review URLs.

How to use

Scrape Google Play reviews from app URLs

1

Download and import

Download the hosted Google Play review scraper JSON and import it into UScraper.

2

Add app URLs

Replace the sample URL in the Navigate block with your approved Google Play app detail URLs. Add showAllReviews=true when you want the run to start from the review view.

3

Confirm waits and scroll depth

Keep the page-load wait, the review-loader block, and the 90-second wait for the first test. Increase pacing only after verifying stable output.

4

Set the export folder

Structured Export writes google-play-review-scraper.csv with headers and append mode. Change the save location before client, market, or release batches.

5

Run and review

Start with one app, open the CSV, and spot-check ratings, dates, and comments against the browser before expanding the input list.

Frequently asked questions

Google Play reviews may be public, but automated collection can still be limited by Google Play terms, robots directives, privacy rules, intellectual property rights, and local law. Use modest pacing, avoid bypassing access controls, and get legal review before commercial use.

Practical limits and maintenance notes

Keep these constraints visible

Rate limits

High-frequency review collection can trigger access checks

Keep batches modest, avoid parallel loops, and add longer waits if Google Play responds slowly or review rows stop increasing.

Layout drift

Review card markup can change

Empty exports, missing star ratings, or blank app versions usually mean the review dialog or Structured Export columns need maintenance.

Policy

Review usage rights before sharing datasets

Use exported reviews for approved research workflows and avoid republishing personal data or derived datasets without clearance.
