Privacy Policy

How UScraper handles information for the website, desktop app, licensing, payments, support, templates, and local data extraction workflows.

Last updated: May 17, 2026

Local-first scraping

Scraping workflows and extracted datasets are created on your device unless you choose to share them with us.

Limited account data

We use only the information needed to answer messages, process licenses, deliver downloads, and support your purchase.

No dataset resale

We do not sell your contact details or the data you extract with UScraper.

01

Scope of this policy

This policy explains how UScraper handles information across the website, support channels, licensing flow, downloads, and desktop application.

UScraper is a no-code desktop web scraping tool for building extraction workflows visually and exporting results to formats such as CSV and JSON. The product is designed to run locally on your computer.

This policy applies to information we collect when you visit our website, submit a contact or support request, download UScraper, activate or manage a license, purchase templates or software access, or communicate with our team.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and limited technical information needed to operate the website and licensing experience.

  • Contact information such as your name, email address, company name, and the message you send through our forms or support channels.
  • Purchase and license information such as the product purchased, license key, license status, activation date, payment reference, billing email, and support history.
  • Download and device context such as operating system, app version, crash details you choose to send, activation requests, and basic diagnostic details needed to troubleshoot issues.
  • Website usage information such as pages visited, referrer, browser type, approximate region, and similar logs used for security, analytics, and site reliability.
  • Template or documentation requests you submit, including target use case, requested data fields, and any example URLs you provide.
03

Desktop app and extracted data

UScraper workflows, browser sessions, and extracted data are primarily stored and processed on your own device.

The pages you scrape, selectors you configure, workflow blocks you create, browser automation steps you run, and datasets you export are not automatically uploaded to UScraper servers.

If you contact support and choose to send us a scraper file, screenshot, log, exported dataset, or sample URL, we will use that material only to investigate the issue, improve support, or deliver the service you requested.

You are responsible for deciding what websites to scrape, what data to collect, where to store exports, and whether that activity complies with applicable law, website terms, robots rules, and privacy obligations.

04

How we use information

  • To respond to contact requests, license questions, bug reports, template requests, and general support messages.
  • To process purchases, issue licenses, validate license activation, prevent fraud, and provide product access.
  • To deliver product updates, security notices, release announcements, documentation, and important service messages.
  • To improve the website, templates, documentation, onboarding, download flow, and reliability of the desktop app.
  • To protect UScraper, our users, and the public from abuse, unauthorized access, malware, scraping misuse, or fraudulent activity.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, chargeback, and regulatory obligations.
05

Payments and third-party processors

Payment details are handled by payment providers rather than stored directly by UScraper.

When you purchase UScraper, payment information such as card numbers, bank details, and checkout authentication data is processed by our payment provider. We receive limited records such as payment status, product purchased, billing email, amount, currency, and transaction reference.

Third-party providers may process your information under their own terms and privacy policies. We use those services to complete checkout, prevent fraud, handle invoices, and manage refunds or chargebacks.

06

When we share information

  • With service providers that help us host the website, send email, manage support, process payments, deliver downloads, monitor reliability, or run analytics.
  • With professional advisers, payment partners, or authorities when needed for tax, accounting, compliance, fraud prevention, legal claims, or valid legal requests.
  • With a successor organization if UScraper is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy or equivalent protections.
  • With your direction, such as when you ask us to inspect a project file, exported data sample, screenshot, or log for support.
07

Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy.

Support conversations are retained to help us resolve follow-up issues and improve support quality. License and purchase records may be kept for as long as needed to provide access, handle disputes, comply with tax requirements, and prevent abuse.

If you ask us to delete support attachments or personal information, we will honor the request where possible, subject to legal, security, accounting, or operational obligations.

08

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information we process. No website, desktop software, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Because UScraper exports data to your own device, you are responsible for protecting local files, project exports, browser profiles, credentials entered into third-party websites, and any datasets you create.

09

Your choices and rights

  • You may contact us to request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information we hold about you.
  • You may unsubscribe from optional marketing emails while still receiving transactional messages about purchases, licenses, security, and support.
  • You can choose not to send logs, screenshots, scraper files, or datasets to support, although that may limit our ability to troubleshoot.
  • You can disable or limit cookies through your browser settings, but some website features may not work as expected.
10

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as UScraper evolves, including when we add new platforms, templates, license flows, analytics, or support features. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
