Foursquare Reviews Scraper by URL

This Foursquare reviews scraper imports a list of venue URLs, opens each page in the UScraper local desktop app, and exports Foursquare review or tip data to a clean CSV. Use it when you need Foursquare reviews to CSV for local SEO research, restaurant monitoring, competitor analysis, or venue sentiment checks without building a custom crawler.

Export Foursquare reviews from venue URLs

The template is built for direct Foursquare business URLs rather than keyword search pages. That makes the run more controlled: you decide which venues belong in the batch, UScraper opens each URL, waits for the page to settle, and then checks whether the page is blocked by a login prompt. If the login wall appears, the workflow skips that URL and continues to the next input instead of writing misleading empty rows.

When a venue page is accessible, the automation scrolls and clicks visible "show more" or "load more" style controls, normalizes review and tip text, and writes hidden row markers for Structured Export. The result is a spreadsheet-friendly Foursquare data extractor that keeps venue-level fields beside each review row for easier filtering and grouping.

Review data with venue context

Each row can include the source URL, business name, price range, aggregate rating, rating count, telephone, reviewer name, date, review text, and upvote count.

Multi-URL batch workflow

The Navigate block accepts multiple Foursquare venue URLs and the Loop Continue block moves through the list while the CSV stays in append mode.

Local desktop export

The stock workflow saves the file on your computer. Your URL list and review CSV do not move to a hosted scraping service unless you add that behavior.

Best-effort expansion

The injected interaction step scrolls and opens more visible tips or reviews before export, which helps capture rows that are not immediately visible on load.

How to use

Configure the Foursquare scraper by URL

1

Download and import

Download the hosted JSON template and import it into UScraper.

2

Add venue URLs

Replace the sample Philadelphia venue URLs in the Navigate block with your approved Foursquare business pages. Keep one clean venue URL per input.

3

Use an authenticated session

If Foursquare redirects your pages to login, open the site in the same browser profile used by UScraper and sign in before running the batch.

4

Confirm the CSV path

Structured Export writes foursquare-reviews-scraper-by-url.csv with headers enabled and file mode set to append. Change the save folder before client-specific runs.

5

Run and review output

UScraper opens each URL, waits, expands visible review content, exports structured rows, and continues the loop. Spot-check a few rows before using the file downstream.

CSV fields from the Foursquare review extractor

The CSV mirrors the Structured Export block in the workflow definition. Each accessible venue can produce multiple rows, and each row repeats the venue context so you can filter by business, rating, reviewer, or review date without joining another file.

Frequently asked questions

Foursquare reviews and tips may be publicly visible, but automated collection can still be restricted by Foursquare terms, privacy rules, copyright, robots directives, and local law. Use modest runs, avoid bypassing access controls, and get legal review before using exported reviews commercially.

Before you run

Practical limits and maintenance notes

Keep these constraints visible

Unauthenticated pages may be skipped

Foursquare can redirect venue pages to a login screen. If the CSV is empty, confirm the page is accessible in the browser profile UScraper is using.

Rate limits

Large batches need conservative pacing

Avoid aggressive loops. Add longer waits if pages load slowly, and pause when Foursquare shows verification, throttling, or unusual response pages.

Layout drift

Review markup can change

The workflow uses best-effort text and DOM detection. Missing usernames, dates, or upvotes usually mean the visible layout changed or that a venue has sparse review content.
